Flowers in a Flower
We planted some of these flowers in our garden at home, but this example from Elizabeth Park was just about perfect when we walked through one evening. Not sure what it is called.

Enjoying Summer
Here is the perfect place to enjoy the final weeks of summer – pull up a chair and relax.
The Lunch Crowd

Dahlias in Bloom
The dahlias are in full bloom at Elizabeth Park. Take a few moments to go check them out – they’re amazing flowers.
AC Petersen
As a West Hartford institution along Park Road, AC Petersen is a must visit during the summer months during ice cream season.
Town Line

Thursday Night in Blue Back
Music is in the air during the summer at Blue Back Square – here is the full event calendar on the West Hartford town website. This photo was taken during the July 31st performance
Fifteen Eighty-Six
This home caught my eye because it is especially well decorated for the summer season. The orange front door with the funky numbers didn’t hurt either – the place has character.
Strange Thing to Bury

There is something reassuring about a business that has succeeded over the course of decades without feeling compelled to update their customer area. To me, it says that they’ve built a loyal following because their service speaks for itself. West Hartford has a lot of businesses like this.
